As I point out, following Studebaker, Edwards is following a version of the psychological model that has a social element (from book 15 of De Trinitate). However, I do not agree with Pauw that Edwards is bouncing back and forth between two trinitarian models. The social model as it is articulated in contemporary discussions contains elements with which I think Edwards would disagree (and is distinct, in my opinion, from the actual discussion of the Trinity articulated by several eastern fathers).
